As seen in…/2

Our second look at the press this month is a totally random selection of products, people and photography that piqued our interest:

Elle Decoration’s comprehensive guide to bathrooms includes a section dedicated to creating a tranquil bathing space (yes, please!) and featuring our wood and iron bench, iron wire basket, sandstone storage bowls and mango wood mirror, available from our Chelsea store. Photographed by Rachel Whiting and styled by Alex Kristal, the scene has a rough luxe quality.

In Livingetc, a feature on contemporary reinterpretations of traditional designs (photographed by Emma Lee and styled by Milly Goodwin) includes the Eva ten-light chandelier, in which resin and aluminium replace crystal, creating a whole new mood, intimate rather than dramatic, glowing rather than dazzling.

Earlier this month, our Group Buying Director, Paul Middlemiss, shared his design inspirations with the readers of the Evening Standard’s Homes & Property pages – note the Prouvé RAW pieces behind him and the Thinking Man’s chair (this summer’s must-have, available in store) he’s sitting in, below. If you missed it, you can read it in full here.

Across the channel, while Le Journal de la Maison is optimistically anticipating the arrival of spring with this collection of vibrant and witty vases, including our gorgeous, sea green Honeycomb vase (available in store) and the Geantbulb and Babybulb Edison vases

Elle Décoration France is still firmly in winter mode, with this round up of essential accessories for soup making and consuming, including our cute Kiki salt and pepper mills, bottom right, available in two sizes from our stores:

Meanwhile, one year and six months, respectively, after their launch, Terence Conran’s Barton and Pavilion ranges continue to make regular appearances in the French press. This month, it’s the turn of
the Barton coffee table in IDEAT and the Pavilion sideboard in Maison Côté Sud. Is it the timeless appeal of wood or Parisians’ enduring love affair with The Conran Shop’s founder?
