Last Friday night our New York colleagues were in a festive mood as The Conran Shop hosted
its pre-ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) drinks party in store.

The Fair, which opened on Saturday and finished on Tuesday, saw 500 designers – including Tom Dixon, Black+Blum and Plumen (overall winner of this year’s Brit Insurance Awards) from the UK – set up their ‘stalls’ at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, a modern-day Crystal Palace.*

Meanwhile, designer retailers took the opportunity to fling open their doors to customers, the press and trade and talk about their new products – and there’s a long-standing tradition that it’s The Conran Shop that kicks off the festivities.

This year the party was billed as the ‘E-Vent of the Year’ as the shop launched its new E-Tech Department. There was also the launch of the Jasper Morrison phone for Punkt; a Conran Shop
New York
exclusive – it won’t be available until September, but customers are able to pre-order it in store.

The Moleskine accesssories range, recently launched in the UK, dragon red Zikmu speakers for Philippe Starck and the Conran iPod dock also made their debut.
